TIP –Vastu is not just understanding the direction and its remedy. All directions of establishments have energies. You should consult some expert who just not have knowledge of directions, should be expert in catching energies also.
Every part of a house / business have specific vastu place. If that particular place is not there according to vastu will give negative impact on people who are using that establishment.

Vastu for Home Facing
Idle direction – EAST / NORTH
If west direction – EFFECT
- It is believed in Vastu that West facing homes if higher in floor than East brings wealth and prospers inmates with no enmity. Western side floor must be higher than Eastern side floor to fetch all-around prosperity.
- People living in West facing house are generally extrovert in nature having bold and open thoughts. Such inmates face problems in their decisions and possess practical approach.
- People living in West facing homes have no fame or ill-fame due to any reason, business running in West facing offices don’t fetch much name and fame as it may get in East facing and there are sometimes risk involves in business.
- people living in Western zone suffer from health problems such as skin disease.
- West facing houses are suitable for people having profession like teachers, politicians, religious priests and corporate business men.
Remedies
- The western side of such homes should always be higher than the eastern portions.
- The construction of gates in the North West direction is considered to be the most beneficial for the inhabitants of the house
Vastu for Main Door
South West
Problems –
South West facing is the entry of the devil energy and brings in struggles and misfortunes.
Remedies-Solution for Main Door in South West
Follow these useful remedies to kill the effect of main door in not so supportive zone.
- You can place a Panch Mukhi Hanuman Ji in standing position with gada in left hand right on top of the door to keep negative energies out of house.
- You can even place a Trishul or Swastik or Om on both the sides of the door and also on the top of the door on the entrance.
- You can even place a Vastu pyramid one left and right hand side and also on the top of the main door.
South East Entrance Vastu
Problems
The door facing South East is said to be a door which brings in illness, anger and court matters.
Remedies
Stickers of Gayatri Mantra should be fixed on both the sides of the door from outside.
Coral, Yellow Sapphire and copper with a proper advice will further reduce the defects of this door.
South Facing House Vastu
Problems
Brings in sharp energy which disturbs positive energy field of the house. Door here means a highly active social life. Some times it may bring in arguments or disagreements.
Remedies
Fixing two above mentioned Hanumanji’s tiles outside the door will help. It can further be protected by using lead, cat’s eye etc.
West Facing House Vastu
West facing door is also not bad for the youngsters as it has an active energy & energy of enjoyment. That is why in Japan, Geisha houses are always facing west.
North West Facing Vastu
North West facing door is not so bad. It can bring in health, wealth and prosperity if supported by other vastu rules.
Only thing that the main male member of the house may remain out of the house for a longer time if the door faces west and a female if the door faces North.
Kitchen Vastu – South East
Ideal place is south-east corner of the house. If not, another great option is the northwest corner of the house. The south-east corner is considered the best as the element of fire governs in this direction. Hence, it is the best option for making the kitchen

It is therefore very important for you to make your kitchen as per rules and regulations of vastu shastra so that the kitchen generates and enhances positive energy, suppressing – and even eliminating – negative ones.
Non-Compliant Kitchen –Problems
- Health Loss –loss of health for the cook and head of the family, lethal diseases and untimely death
- Financial Loss –financial condition deteriorates, credits goes up, bankruptcy
- Family Disputes –clashes within family, separation or divorce
Kitchen Vastu- North East
North-East causes mental tension among family members and they suffer great losses.
Remedies
1. The Out-most remedy is to shift the kitchen to the Southeast or Northwest direction of the house.
2. If the total shifting is not possible due to reasons beyond the control, then at least try to shift the cooking Gas stove in the Southeast corner of the present kitchen and keep Northeast corner neat and clean.
3. Keep a table or any furniture in the Southeast direction room, as it may be Bedroom or Hall, with electric cooker or Gas stove and boil milk or start cooking rice every day. This will create an alternate mini kitchen and strengthen the Southeast direction.
4. Light a red color bulb in the Southeast throughout the night; this will generate Mars energy in the wrongly placed kitchen
5. Put Mangal Yantra (Mars Yantra) on the Southeast wall of the kitchen.
6. Painting the walls of Northeast kitchen with blue color can be good remedy, which creates the water energy.
Kitchen Vastu- South West
South-West leads to clashes among family members.
Remedies
Follow these changes to keep your kitchen from the negative effects of having a kitchen in this direction. Remember, kitchen it the most important part of the house as is the source from where every member of the family gets nourishment and energy.
- Place the gas stove in South East direction
- You can have a secondary kitchen in the real direction of having kitchen which is the South East zone. Make sure that you prepare something small at that place every day.
- You can have your kitchen painted in shade of yellow.
- If possible then raise the area of kitchen compared to other rooms of the house.
- Make sure that you have washing area outside the kitchen. Do not use much water in this area.
Kitchen Vastu- North West
North-West direction is acceptable but it leads to increase in monetary expenditure.
North direction; as North is Lord Kubera’s (the God of Wealth) direction, having kitchen in North will increase expenditure of family beyond expectations and control.
Avoid kitchen directly under or above pooja/prayer room.
Do not have kitchen directly under or above toilets.
Avoid kitchen directly under or above bedroom.
Do not place cooking gas burner or stove directly in front kitchen’s entrance door.
Do not have main door of kitchen in any corners; place it in East, North or West wall.
Never face west while cooking as this leads to severe health problems to the cook.
If – while cooking – the cook faces south then family has to face monetary losses.
Avoid black color for kitchen wall and flooring.
Avoid keeping refrigerator in North-East direction.
What You Must Do:
- Place platform of the kitchen in East and South-East corner.
- Put cooking gas burner or stove in South-East corner of kitchen, make sure that it is a few inches away from wall.
- Provide “L” shaped platform, next to the kitchen’s main platform, near South wall and use this platform for keeping and operating microwave ovens, mixer/grinder etc.
- Use North-East to set up wash-basin or sink in the kitchen.
- Use North-East or North side to keep drinking water and utensils for drinking water.
- Keep grain boxes, pulses, various spices, salt etc. in South or West direction.
- Have two windows/gaps in East and West walls of kitchen and place an exhaust fan in any of the windows/gaps.
- You can optionally place a dining table in North-West or West side of kitchen.
- Keep light weight things in East or North in kitchen.
- Build mezzanine floor in West or South of kitchen.
- Always face towards East while cooking; this ensures good health of family members.
- Use yellow, orange, rose, chocolate or red as floor and wall colors of kitchen.
- You can place a refrigerator in South-East, South, West or North direction of Kitchen. If the refrigerator is in South-West direction then place it a foot away from wall else it will often get out-of-order.
- Give sacred offering to fire of the first thing you prepare in kitchen to make sure peace and prosperity.
- Clean kitchen, kitchen platform and utensils daily at night before sleeping.
